Louella (Crise) Pigg

Mrs. Louella PIGG, 95, of 135 Castleton Ave. died at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the Hickory Grove Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Pigg was born in Jefferson county on Dec. 23, 1878, the daughter of Leonard and Elizabeth (Gorham) Crise.

She was married on May 23, 1894, to Dutch Pigg, who died in 1947. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Myers Chapel, with the Rev.Everett Lemay officiciating. Burial will be at Oakwood cemetery.

Mrs Pigg is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Sedlack, St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Irene Christensen, Mrs. Norman Schwengel, and Mrs. Max (Betty) Waters, all of Mt. Vernon; four sons, Harold E. Pigg, Nolan Pigg, Kenneth Pigg and Woodrow Pigg, all of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Maude Garner, Springfield; 25 grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Gorham and two daughters, Elouise and Mrs. Vivian Neuman.
