Ida Mae Pierce
Mrs. Ida Mae PIERCE, widow of Sylvester PIERCE, died suddenly of a heart attack
at her home, 1108 Welkin Street, at 9 o'clock last night. Her age was 64 y4m23d.
Corner Dr. G. L. TAYLOR said today he would conduct an investigation into her
death tonight, but there was little doubt that death was due to a heart attack.

member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She was born in Spring Garden Twp. She
was united in marriage with Sylvester PIERCE, who preceded her in death in 1921.
Her father and mother, Joe and Margie HOPPER, died several years ago.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Hams Grove Church
and burial will be had in Smith Cemetery. The body remained at Myers Chapel until
5 o'clock this afternoon, at which time it was taken to the home, 1108 Welkin Street.

Mrs. PIERCE is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Oris HESS of Benton, Mrs. J. J. DEAN
of Irvington and Margie PIERCE at home; 4 sons, J. T., Bob, Josh and Charles, all
of Mt. Vernon; one brother Rosier HOPPER of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Mattie TITTLE
