Allen "Pete" PETERSON, 78 of 100 Main St Dix, Il. died at 2:48 AM Sunday at his home.

Mr. PETERSON was born in Mt Vernon, Il. 21 Mar 1906 the son of Enos James & Elsie (GRISSOM) PETERSON.

On 12 Oct 1929, in Mt Vernon, he married Ruth Anna (GEER), who survives him.

Graveside services will be held at 11AM Wed. at the IOOF cemetery in Woodlawn,Il. with he Rev Rosemary HARRIS officiating.

Friends may call after 6 PM Tue at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix,IL.

In addition to his wife, survivors include 1 son J.A. PETERSON Jr. of Borken Arrow, Ok.; 1 daughter Lois Marie (PETERSON) SCHOEPPEL of Freeport. Five grandchildren; 2 ggrandchildren; one brother Donald I. PETERSON and 2 sisters Nata (PETERSON) WALL of Mt Vernon and Doris (PETERSON) BROWN of Jacksonville, Fl.

Mr.. PETERSON attended Field School. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dix, and Mt Vernon Masonic Lodge # 31 A Faud A.M.
