Nettie Emma Pace (1886-1959)

Death Notice: Nettie E. Pace Dies at Age 73, Rites Monday

Mrs. Nettie Emma Pace, of 308 South Ninth Street, died at 3: 40 this morning at Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, Illinois. She was 73 years, three months and 11 days of age.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 P.M. at the Pulley Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gary Jenkins of Centralia will officiate and burial will follow at Bethel Memorial cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Sunday.

Mrs. Pace was born in 1886 in Jackson, Mo., the daughter of Thaddeus and Elmorah (Thomas) Moss.

On September 19, 1902 she was married at Princeton, Illinois, to Homer George Pace who preceded her in death April 4, 1955.

She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Methodist church.

Surviving are three sons, Carl and Oral of Mt. Vernon and Walter of Dix; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Badgett and Mrs. Nellis Pemberton of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Helen Robinson of Ottawa, Illinois, and Mrs. Ann Piercy of Randall, Minn., a brother, Roy Moss of Mt. Vernon, Il., with whom she made her home; and three sisters, Mrs. Rado Wallace of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Louie Meffert of Marion and Mrs. Blanche Witlock of Miami, Fl.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and three sisters.
