Mrs. Mary J. OWENS, wife of David N. OWENS, died at their residence in this city last Saturday, October 2, of consumption, in the thirty-first year of her age.

She was the daughter of Charles W. and Mary N. STANSBERRY, and was married January 23, 1973.

She leaves to her bereaved husband the heart burdening, but precious, legacy of four small children.

She was a woman of refined responsibilities, of excellent common sense, of warm emotions loved and loving in all the relations of wife, mother, sister, friend.

Her religious life dated back to 1870, when at Elk Prairie she was converted and joined the M. E. Church.

Funeral Sunday, October 3, at Pleasant Grove.
