Funeral services for Millard (Mickey) OUTLAND, 55, of Bluford, who died 
Saturday morning at 7:15 were held at 1:00 p.m. today at the Bluford Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Frank BROOKMAN and Rev. Bus Hart officiating. 
Burial was in Memorial Gardens cemetery. 
Mr. Outland, a retired railroad man, was air mail dispatcher for Mt. Vernon 
airport. He was born Aug. 5, 1914 in Washington County, the son of Elmer and 
Cora (Raines) OUTLAND. On December 9, 1934 in Waterloo, Illinois, he married 
Violet MILLER, who survives. Other survivors include his father; a daughter, Mrs. 
Alta Jean THACKERY of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Hubert OUTLAND of Bluford; 
six sisters, Mrs. Ula FOSHEE of Rockford, Mrs. Pauline Williams of Bonnie, Mrs. 
Clara DONOHO of Bluford, Mrs. Omal WHALEN of Galesburg, Mrs. Evelyn 
SHIELDS of Belleville, and Mrs. Eleanor FRITZ of Rockford; and three grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, and a sister.
