James A. Oakley

James A. OAKLEY, 79, who died Sunday in Danville, Ill, will be brought back to Mt. Vernon, his former home, for funeral services to be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Myers Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood.

Mr. Oakley was born in Mt. Vernon July 19, 1863, the son of the late W. C. Oakley. His mother was born Sally Ann YEARWOOD.

He is survived by his wife Mahala, one daughter, Mrs. Blanche ALLEN, of Mt. Vernon; one son, Joseph C. Oakley of Danville; a sister, Mrs. Ella HARPOLE of Benton; and two half sisters; Mrs. Florence LONG of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Mary JOHNSON of Princeton, Ind.
