Bertie E. Morgan Dies at age 80, Funeral Tuesday

Mrs. Bertie E. Morgan of RFD 3, Mt. Vernon, died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 80 years, one month, and 23 days.

Funeral services wil be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Pulley Funeral Chapel with the Reverend J. G. Parsons officiating. Burial will be in Wolfe Prairie Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. today.

Mrs Morgan was born July 23, 1887 in Jefferson County, the daughter of James F. and Vinna Elizabeth (Owens) Morgan.

She was married to Harold Morgan who preceded her in death in 1964.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Parker of Palmdale, California.; a sister Mrs. Allie Harris of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren; and eight great -grandchildren.

Mrs Morgan was a member of Old Wolfe Prairie Christian Church.
