Curtis Ray Moore, 45, of Mt. Vernon died 6:58 a.m. July 15, 2006, at his home. He was a farmer.

Mr. Moore was born March 16, 1961, in Mt. Vernon to Bernard R. and Patricia (Sargent) Moore.

He married Carolyn (Carlton) Moore Dec. 21, 1990, at Boyd Christian Church; she survives.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Boyd Christian Church. Denny Steed and Jim Watts will officiate. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Macedonia. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Boyd Christian Church.

Mr. Moore is survived by his mother; Patricia Moore of Dix; his grandmother, Lorine Moore of Centralia; his wife, Carolyn Moore of Mt. Vernon; a son, Marshall Curtis Moore, at home; a daughter, Breeanna Lynnette Moore, at home; a brother, Michael A. Moore of Dix; his father-in-law, Don Carlton; an aunt; uncles; a niece; nephews; and a great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his father; three grandparents; a niece; and his mother-in-law, Ruby Carlton.

Mr. Moore attended Rome Grade School and Woodlawn High School. He attended Lebanon Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon. He was a member of the Jefferson County Shrine Club.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Shriner’s Hospital and will be received at the church or at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. Osborn Funeral Home in Dix is in charge of arrangements, where you may call 266-7231 for further information.
