Margaret Fern (Maynor) Maulding

Margaret Fern Maulding, 86, of Murry, Ky., and formerly of Mt. Vernon died 12:50pm Feb. 17, 2004, at Murry Calloway Country Hospital.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Maulding was born Oct. 8, 1917, in Mt. Vernon to Turner H. and Lula Fern (Wilkey) Maynor.

She married Joel Donald Maulding, Nov. 6, 1937 in Henderson, KY.; he died June 17, 1999.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Randy Sells will officiate. Burial will be at Woodlawn Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 am until the funeral hour Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Maulding is survived by a son, Thomas Joel Maulding and wife Pat of Monterey, Tenn.; a brother Walter Maynor and wife Agnes of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren;a great-great grandchild; a sister-in-law, Trudis Schmidt and husband Phillip of Lafayette, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Charles Andy Maynor, Kenneth W. Maynor, Turner H. Maynor Jr., Mary Ellen Gwaltney and Jane Maynor.

Mrs. Maulding is a member of Central Christian Church. She was active in the Red Cross for many years.

Joel Maulding
Murray, KY

Joel Donald Maulding, 79, of Murray, formerly of Mount Vernon, Ill., died at 11:25 pm Thursday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Maulding retired from Sherwin-Williams with 32 years of service.

He was a native of Jefferson County, Ill., and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Mount Vernon.

Mr. Maulding is survived by his wife, Margaret Maynor Maulding; one son, Thomas Joel Maulding of Livingston, Tenn.; one sister, Trudis Schmidt of Lafayette, Ind.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers. His parents were Otto William Maulding and Inec (sic Inez) Perkins Maulding.

There will be no local visitation or service. J.H. Churchill Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Arrangements were incomplete at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.
