D. Marie Manley, 95, of Elkhart, Indiana, and formerly of Mt.Vernon died at 2:35 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 1999, at the Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkhart, Indiana.

Mrs. Manley was born on October 30, 1903, the daughter of Ernie and Nettie (Pigg) Patterson.

She married Ernest H. Manley in Mt. Vernon on January 29, 1920, and he died on November 13, 1982.

Surviving are one son, Billie M. Manley of Frostproof, Florida; two daughters, Betty Edson of Elkhart, Indiana, and Doris Smith of Yucca Valley, California; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

While living in Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Manley was a member of the Logan Street Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Everett Lemay officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery.
