Ada (Estes) Lowry

Mrs. Ada LOWRY, wife of James Lowry, died of pneumonia at the family home on East Jordan street at 7:25 last night after a short illness.

Deceased was a sister of Mayor W. T. and Grant Estes and leaves a wide circle of warm personal friends to mourn her death.

She leaves family of eight children, five sons and three daughters, of whom the oldest is nineteen and the youngest four years of age.

Mrs. Lowry was a Christian woman and possessed those traits of charcater that endeared her to all with whom she came in contact. A member of the Baptist church for nearly twenty years she was widely known among her associates of that demonination for her charity and forgiving disposition and her demise will leave a void that will be hard to fill.

Funeral services were held at her late home at 10:30 this morning under the ministration of Rev. A. W. Claxton, pastor of the First Baptist congregation, after which the body was escorted to the L & N depot where they placed on board the train and taken to Opdyke where the interment took place at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
