A.S. LIEBENGOOD DIES AT AGE 84; RITES SATURDAY

August Simon Liebengood of 708 south 21st street died at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at his home. He was 84 years, 11 months, and 14 days old. Mr. Liebengood was a retired grocer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rev. James P. Burke officiating. Burial will be in Old Union cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Friday. At 7:30 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home, the Rosary will be recited.

Mr. Liebengood was born Jan. 19, 1882, in Jefferson county, the son of Albert and Wilhelmina (Weingartner).

On Feb. 26, 1907, he was married to Bertha A. Wiggs, who preceded him in death on April 4, 1956.

He is survived by a son, Champ C. Liebengood of McComb, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Opal C. Smith of this city, Mrs. Lorena Stewart of Alhambra, Calif.; and Mrs. Ruth Daniels of Peoria; and six grandchildren.
