Rosamarie (Smith) Lampp

Rosamarie Lampp, 68, of Mt. Vernon died 12:18 a.m. Jan. 21, 2005, at her home. She and her husband were owner/operators of the Maid-Rite Drive-in for many years.

Mrs. Lampp was born June 13, 1936, in Mt. Vernon to James A. and Lydia Ruth (Hayes) Smith.

She married Fred Lampp Dec. 24, 1953, in Mt. Vernon; he survives.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Brad Henson will officiate. Burial will follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Lampp is survived by her husband, Fred Lampp; a son, Mike Lampp and wife Vickie of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Rhonda Phillips and special friend Kenneth Langhauser of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren Randy Lynn Phillips Jr. of Woodlawn, Charity "Dawn" Austin and husband Kris of Ina, Rhian Brooke Boling and husband Marlo of Mt. Vernon and Cody Lampp of Mt. Vernon; great-grandchildren Aveyona Boling of Mt. Vernon and Reese Austin of Ina; sisters Iris R. Miller and husband Jack of Jonesboro and Janet Wiggs of Mendenhall, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Betty Lampp. They were very close throughout all their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Gail L. Smith, Dale F. Smith and Thomas J. Smith; two sisters, Betty Ann House and an infant sister, Faye Maxine Smith; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, C.R. and Leota Lampp.

Mrs. Lampp was a member of West Salem Trinity United Methodist Church.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to West Salem Trinity United Methodist Church or St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O.
