Mona A. Kovacovich, 98, Mt. Vernon, died 6 p.m. Nov. 21, 1991, at her home.

Mrs. Kovacovich had been a nurse at Dunning State Hospital and Home Nursing.

She was born April 27, 1893, in London, a daughter of Herman James and Emma (Huff) Elliston.

In 1927 in Chicago, she married Carl Kovacovich, who died March 5, 1951.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Johnston Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Merle Fullerton officiating. Burial will follow in South Hickory Hill Cemetery at Bonnie.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kovacovich is survived by one son, Carl Kovacovich of Pekin; two daughters, Mrs. Ogal (Violet) Wilson of Mt. Vernon and Annie Margaret Hanes of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, two sons and five sisters.
