Charlie Kirk

"Uncle" Charlie KIRK died at his home in Ina today at 1 a.m. after a lingering illness of Bright's disease and leakage of the heart. Ina has lost one of its best and most honest, upright Christian men.

To know "Uncle" Charlie was to love him and completely trust him. He was a man who ranked above the average in many traits of character, truth and honesty, always looking on the bright side of life.

His young life was spent on a farm making a success of his work. He was left a motherless boy at the age of four years and had many hardships while a child.

When he grew to manhood he was united in marriage with Samantha Melvina KIRK. To this union was born one son, M. E. KIRK, who survives, with the aged invalid wife and three grandchildren.

"Uncle" Charlie was converted 30 years ago under the preaching of Rev. Charles WOOD, uniting with the Christian Church of Ina. He was always ready to speak of faith and love for his Maker. Loved to talk of the great day he would lay his armour down.

Funeral Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Christian Church at Ina. Conducted by Rev. Charles WOOD.

He was a life long Democrat.

Mr. KIRK was 85 years old.
