Joe JONES of East Alton died at 1:30 Monday afternoon at the Wood River Hospital where he had been a patient since last Thursday. He was about 61 years old.

Mr. JONES was born in Ina and spent his boyhood days here.

He had been a resident of East Alton for several years.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mollie JONES of Alton, five brothers, Gabe of Godfrey; Earl, George and Raymond of East Alton; and Sebe of Golconda; and one sister, Mrs. Ollie ING of Chicago.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wood River with burial in a nearby cemetery.
