William A. Hodge

WILLIAM A. HODGE DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME TODAY -
Well Known Citizen of Southern Part of County Dies before Physician Could Reach Him.

Wm. A. HODGE, who lived a mile west of Ina, died suddenly at his home this morning following a long period of poor health. Death was believed due to heart trouble. Mr. HODGE was about 79 years of age and for years had been in bad health, suffering from asthma and heart disease. This morning when he arose he seemed to be as well as usual, but was stricken shortly afterward. He died before medical aid could be summoned.

Dr. G. L. TAYLOR, Jefferson County Coroner was notified of the death and left for Ina to make arrangements for holding an inquest.

Mr. HODGE had been married three times and was the father of eleven children, of whom nine are living.

His widow also survives. The children include eight daughters and one son. The daughters are: Mrs. Dona WELLS of Salem; Mrs. Elsia CROSNO, Decatur; Mrs. Birdie CROSNO, Mt. Vernon; Mrs. Sarah KIRK, Ina; Mrs. Harry WESTBROOK, Burksville, Ill; Mrs. Earl ADCOCK, Mt. Vernon; Mrs. Hershel HALE, Bonnie; and Naomi HODGE at home. The son is Paul HODGE of Ina.
