Doy E. HINES, 71 of 2601 S. 10th St, was dead on arrival at 11:18 pm October 24, 1986 at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Mr. HINES owned and operated Hines Standard Service Station on S. 10th St. for many years.

He was born May 16, 1915 at Macedonia (Hamilton County) to Roy and Leslie C. (DURHAM) HINES and he married Ollie Francis KNOWLTON on May 225, 1936 and she died December 26, 1978.

Funeral will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Reynolds, officiating and burial in Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after 6 pm today at the funeral home.

Mrs. HINES is survived by two daughters, Janette HINES of Mt. Vernon and Janice (Delbert) JACKSON of Florissant, Missouri, three sons; Byford HINES and Frankie HINES both of Arcata, California and Ronald HINES of Roscoe. Two brothers, Mack HINES of Belle Rive and James HINES of Salem, one sister Geraldine Taylor of Mt. Vernon; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including Kenneth THOMPSON who was raised in the HINES home.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother Leroy HINES and a sister Ruby HINES.
