Funeral Here for Alice Highsmith

Mrs. Alice L. Highsmith, 85, a former resident of Mt. Vernon, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl G. Newmann, in Evansville, Ind.

Funeral services will e held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Higckory Hill church, east of Mt. Vernon. The REv. H.V. Lowery will officiate and burial will be in Hickory Hill cemetery.

The body will arrive at the church at 1:00 p.m. Sunday and will lie state at the church until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Highsmith was the mother of Blaine Hgihsmith of Mt. Vernon and Viola Ann Ward of Keenes. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchlidren and one great great granchild.

She was a member of the Hickory Hill church.
