Ernest C. Higginson, of Castleton Ave., died in Hickory View Manor on March 4,1981.

Mr. Higginson was born March 22,1893 at Crossville, Il., the son of John Lawrence and Prudence Ann (Randolph) Higginson.

He first married Mabel Ruth Medders who preceded him in death.

He later married Mary England who preceded him in death.

He married Cecil Grace Ingram who survives.

Funeral services will be held at the Hughey Funeral Home with Rev. Buss Hart officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Opdyke. Friends may call after 6 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Higginson was a retired employee of the Mt. Vernon Car shops.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Donna Thacker of Mt. Vernon; four sons, Jerry Higginson of Clear Lake, Iowa; Kenneth Higginson of Des Moines, Iowa; Marvin Higginson of West Point,In.and and Hugh (Bill) Higginson of Clearwater,Fl.; several step-children,six great grand-children;several step grandchildren and step great grand-children and several nieces and nephews.
