JUNE HICKS
(died December 27, 1962)

June Hicks, 82, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at his home, 1413 north 11th street.

He leaves 73 living descendants: five sons, four daughters, 35 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the Pulley-Gutzler Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Everett Lemay officiating. Burial will be in Old Shiloh cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pulley-Gutzler Funeral Home where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Saturday.

He was born Nov. 14, 1880, in Hamilton county, the son of Albert and Irene (Lampley) Hicks.

In 1909, he was married to Ollie Moyer, who survives.

He is also survived by five sons, Lloyd, Harry and Kenneth Hicks, all of Mt. Vernon, Carl Hicks of Caseyville, Ill. And Bill Hicks of Albany, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Hallie East of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Virginia Bushong of Woodlawn, Mrs. Dorothy Reece of Decatur, and Mrs. Ruth Shockley of Vienna, Mo.; 35 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, and a daughter.

Mr. Hicks was a member of Old Shiloh church.
