Glen Hester, 49, of Phoenix, Ariz. and formerly of Waltonville, died suddenly Saturday afternoon at Knoxville, Iowa, where he was vacationing with his family.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at Phoenix. Burial will be in Phoenix.

Mr. Hester was born August 23, 1923 at Waltonville, the son of Olin and Iva (Mannen) Hester.

He was married to the former Jennie Scott, who survives.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Scott and Mark, and one daughter, Donna, all at home; four brothers, Clyde of Mt. Vernon, Frank of Joliet, Jim of Blen Burnie, MD., and Tom of Waltonville; and one sister, Mrs. Jack (Susanna) Horton of Woodriver, Ill.
