Dixie Lucille Hayes, 81, La Mesa, Calif., died March 16, 1991, at Beverly Manor in La Mesa.

Mrs. Hayes was born July 18, 1909, in Talala, Okla., a daughter of Curtis Lee and Frances Catherine (Hunt) Harnage.

July 3, 1931, in Terre Haute, Ind., she married Sam Hayes, who died Feb. 8, 1976.

Graveside services will be 10 am Tuesday at Hopewell Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Paul Widicus officiating. Those attending the graveside services are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

No visitation will be held.

Mrs. Hayes is survived by two daughters, Dixie Elizabeth Geyer of San Diego and Peggy Sue Olson of Bradford Conn.; one brother, C. Lee Harnage of Riverside, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
