Mrs. Alwilda Hayes, formerly of 305 South Eleventh street, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nelle Wilson, in Jacksonville, Ill., at 6:30 p.m. yesterday. Her age at the time of death was 81 years, 11 months and 5 days.

Funeral services will be held in the Hopewell Methodist Church at 2 p.m. tomorrow with the Rev. Calvin Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Hayes was a member of the Baptist Church.

She was married to Hiram Hayes on March 16, 1883. Her husband died on April 17, 1915.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Nelle Wilson, Jacksonville, Mrs. Clara Alexander, Belleville, Ill.; Mrs. Clarence Correll and Mrs. John Phelps, of Mt. Vernon. One daughter, Mrs. Fern Cook, died in 1945.

Mrs. Hayes is survived by four sons, Ira, of Springfield, Ill., and Greene, Marion and Vernie Hayes, all of Mt. Vernon.

She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
