Robert Estil Hawkins

Estil Hawkins Of Walnut Hill Dies Funeral Tuesday

Estil Hawkins, 69, of Walnut Hill, died at 5:00 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia. He was a farmer

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Dix Christian Church of which he was a member, with the Rev. Verneil Garren and the Rev. Harry Black officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Grove (County Line) cemetery.

The body will lie state at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. today.

Mr. Hawkins was born November 23, 1899, in Marion county, the son of Joseph and Alice Rebecca (Bruce) Hawkins.

On April 24, 1920, in Dix, he was married to Mabel Thompson, who survives.

Other survivors include on son, Eugene Hawkins, warrant Officer of the Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Le Jeune, N.C.; one daughgter, Mrs. Marie Mobley of Centralia; one brother, Everett Hawkins of Walnut Hill; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
