Evalou N. "Oee" (Boyle) Harvill

Evalou N. "Oee" Harvill, 79, of Mt. Vernon died 9:20 a.m. Feb. 10, 1996 at Casey Care Center.

She was employed for many years at the Mt. Vernon Knitting Factory and later at the Manteno State Hospital and was later a private babysitter for working parents.

Mrs. Harvill was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Jefferson County, a daughter of Fonzo and Sophia (Atchison) Boyle.

Aug. 3, 1940, in St. Charles, MO, she married George Harville, who preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hams Grove Cemetery with Rev. Everett Lemay officiating. Those attending the graveside services on Tuesday morning are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harvill is survived by two sisters, Leona Baskett of Mt. Vernon and Bertha Webber of Mt. Vernon; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was a Baptist. She was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary.

Mrs. Harvill was preceded on death by her parents, husband and four sisters, Florence Beaty, Minnie Boyle, Orpha Boyle and one infant sister.
