WOMAN DIES AT AGE OF 95 YEARS -
Mrs. Elizabeth HARRIS Succumbs East of Ina, Two and Half Miles From Her Birthplace.

Mrs. Elizabeth HARRIS, one of the best known residents of the southern part of the Jefferson County, died at six a.m. today at her home east of Ina. Mrs. HARRIS was often referred to as the "grand old woman" of her community, had reached the unusually old age of 95 years. She spent her entire life in the same locality and died within two and a half miles of her birthplace. Despite this fact, she had become known to scores of people as a woman of true exemplary characteristics and was admired and respected by all.

Mrs. HARRIS' husband died 28 years ago and her only living relative is a son, Joe HARRIS, with whom she had made her home in recent years.

She was the last member of her family, all brothers and sisters of a once prominent family having died several years ago. There are sevengrandchildren, however.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Church. Rev. J. R. McDUFFIE of Ewing will be in charge and interment will be made in the New Hope Cemetery.
