William V. Harmon

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church this afternoon for Wm. V. HARMON, with Rev. J. L. MEADS officiating. Interment took place at the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Drake Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. HARMON died at 3:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at his home on East Webster Avenue, the cause of death being double pneumonia. He had reached the age of 54y11m3d.

Deceased had been a resident of Benton for the past fifteen years, much of that time he had been engaged in the grocery business, being a member of the firm of HARMON & SETTLE on Grand Street.

He was a member of Benton Lodge No. 65, A.F. & A.M. and during the year 1929 was a worshipful master of that fraternity.

Mrs. HARMON died February 20, 1932. Two sisters survive. They are Mrs. Seba KIRK, Benton and Mrs. St. Clair JONES if Ina.

Will HARMON, formerly a prominent resident of this city, died late Saturday afternoon at Benton following a brief attack of pneumonia.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Presbyterian Church.

Mr. HARMON was until recently a partner in a leading Benton grocery store, selling his interests a short time ago.

His death was not expected by Mt. Vernon friends who received word of his illness about noon Saturday.

Mr. HARMON was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Benton and was well known to Mt. Vernon people.

He was an uncle of Mrs. Bertha BUMPUS of this city.
