Coy Harmon

Coy Harmon, 61, Ewing, died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Franklin Hospital, Benton.

Mr. Harmon was a retired coal miner who last worked in the Buckner Coal Mine.

He was a member of the Rescue Baptist Church, Whittington.

Mr. Harmon is survived by his wife, Freida; four daughters, Bonnie Hale, Herrin, Violet Mandrell, Sterling, Delina Kniffen, Oak Lawn, and Mary Lou Kniffen, Mt Vernon; three son, Ted, Rock Falls, Max, Sterling, Tom, Ewing; three brothers, William, Chaffee, Mo., Dial, Wellington Ohio, and Jim, Byhalia, Miss; two sisters, Nina Smith, Sesser, and Mima Lee Poorman, Commerce, Mo.; and 17 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Johnson Funeral Home, Whittington. The Rev. Clifford Hicks, The Rev. Jimmie Hicks, and the Rev. Luther Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in the Kirk Cemetery near Ina.
