William E. (Ed) Harlow

ED HARLOW, 73, WEBBER TOWNSHIP FARMER, DIES

William E. (Ed) Harlow, well known retired farmer, died at his home in Bluford at 4 p.m. Thursday. His age was 73 years, eight months and 10 days.

Before his retirement, Mr. Harlow had farmed in Webber township for fifty years.

He was born in Jefferson county March 30, 1869, the son of John H. And Mary (TUCKER) Harlow.

On December 27, 1891, he was united in marriage with Mattie CLIFTON, who survives.

Had he lived until December 27, they would have observed the 51 anniversary of their marriage.

Mr. Harlow had been a member of the Harmony Baptist Church since 1921.

Besides his widow, he is survived by six sons, William P. of Popular, Montan; Neal R., of Nebraska; Dana A. Of Cincinnati, Ohio; Arthur of Yhutat, Alaska; Harry of Camp Hahn, California, and Glenn, and three daughters, Mrs. Dana ASHER of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Nora WARD of Bluford and Mrs. Ethel MONTAGUE of Mt. Vernon.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Baptist church, conducted by the Rev. Cyrus MAULDING, and burial will be in Harmony cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers' Chapel until the funeral hour.
