William A. Harlow

Wm. A Harlow died yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the family home in the East Salem neighborhood.

Mr. Harlow’s death was due to paralysis with which he was stricken about four weeks ago. He never rallied from the stroke and was never conscious after he was stricken. He had suffered a previous stroke about a year and a half ago.

Mr. Harlow was 69 years old and a lifelong resident of Jefferson county, and a member of one of the oldest and most highly respected families of the county.

The family lived in Mt. Vernon about four years, after which they returned to the farm where they resided at the time of Mr. Harlow’s death.

Mr. Harlow is survived by his wife (NOTE: Mary Isabelle nee Lisenby) and three children, H. Angus and Walter Harlow and Mrs. Cora Bayne. Angus Harlow and Mrs. Bayne live in the East Salem neighborhood and Walter Harlow lives in Mt. Vernon.

Mr. Harlow was a successful farmer, and highly respected by all who knew him. He was an excellent citizen and popular with everyone.

Funeral services will be held at East Salem tomorrow morning at 10:00 o’clock and burial will follow at the cemetery adjoining.
