Ronald S. Haley

Word has been received here of the death Tuesday of Ronald S. Haley, 33, at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla.

Mr. Haley, grandson of Mrs. Mayme Haley of Mt. Vernon, drowned in a lake at the base, reportedly in a boat launching mishap.

Funeral services will be held at 9 am Saturday, at the Church of the Nazarene, Dwight. The body will lie in state at the Vonqualen Funeral Home, Dwight, where friends may call between the hours of 5 to 9 pm Friday.

Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Saturday at the Hopewell Cemetery, on Tolle Road, Mt. Vernon.

Mr. Haley was born Aug. 27, 1945, in Bloomington, the son of Sam F. and Leona (Mamer) Haley.

He was married in Dwight, to the former Lynn Moore, who survives.

Other survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam F. Haley of Mentor, Ohio; one son, Ronald Haley, Jr. at home; one daughter, Tammy Haley, at home; three brothers, Sam Haley of Dwight, William Haley of Houston, Texas, and Michael Haley of Mentor, Ohio, and his grandmother, Mrs. Mayme Haley of Mt. Vernon.

He was a Air Force career man, since joining the service in 1962.
