Paul E. Haley

Paul E. Haley, 77, of Plainview died 11:23 p.m. July 17, 2005, at Christian Hospital Northeast. He was a laborer at Alton Boxboard and a farmer.

Mr. Haley was born Aug. 22, 1927, in Mt. Vernon to Homer and Cecil (Bullard) Haley.

He married Marjorie Lee (Porter) Haley of Shipman Sept. 18, 1948, in Mt. Vernon; she survives.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Shipman United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dennis Doane will officiate. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.

Mr. Haley is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Sue and Dwight Walden of Girard and Marie and Jerry Walden of Girard; sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Deanne Haley of Plainview and David and Rebecca Haley of Plainview; six grandchildren; and a sister, Doris and Stanley Taylor of Ewing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Haley was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

Memorials may be made to the Shipman United Methodist Church Building Fund.
