Dela May Haley

The five-year-old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Will Haley, living in the Hopewell district, died Thursday from the effects of being burned.

The little girl was trying to put out a fire on the carpet that was caused by a piece of burning wood falling out of the stove, and her dress caught fire and she was soon enveloped in flames.

She lived but a few hours and was in terrible agony.

The funeral was held at Hopewell Church Friday afternoon.
