Cora Ethel (Brookman) Haley

Mrs. Cora Ethel Haley, 700 White street, died at 12:45 pm Wednesday in Good Samaritan Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past two months and in critical condition for the past week. Her age was 75 years, eight months and 29 days.

She was born in Jefferson county June 10, 1879, the daughter of John and Nancy (Laird) Brookman.

She was married at Louisville, Ill., September 20, 1896, to William Haley who survives.

Mrs. Haley had been a member of Hopewell Methodist Church for the past 60 years.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel at Pulley Funeral Home Saturday at 2:00 pm, with the Reverend Virgil Barr and the Reverend Roy Beal in charge. Friends may call at the Pulley Funeral Home after 10:00 am Friday.

Mrs. Haley's parents, a daughter, three brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband; five sons, Jesse and Lloyd of Collinsville, Sam and Herman of Mt. Vernon and Lawrence of Mt. Auburn, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Cecile (Cecil) Mulvaney of Michigan City, Ind., Mrs. Beulah Fields of Louisiana; 24 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
