Tommy "Tom" R. Gregory Jr.

Tommy "Tom" R. Gregory, Jr., 49, of Mt. Vernon died at 9:40 p.m. on March 23, 2006 at Odin Health Care Center in Odin. He was a sales representative for Bearing Headquarters Company in Mt. Vernon.

He was born to Tommy R. Gregory, Sr. and Donna R. (Reed) Gregory on Sunday, Jan. 6, 1957 at Princeton.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Rev. Merle Fullerton will preside. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial will be at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn.

He is survived by his parents, Tommy Gregory, Sr. of Jacksonville, Fl. and Donna Gregory of Mt. Vernon; grandmother, Mary Lee Reed of Mt. Vernon; wife, Belinda Gregory of Junction City; one son, Tommy Gregory, III and special friend, Irene Hanson of Opdyke; two daughters, Jennifer Bolyard and special friend, Charles Branson, Salem, Misty Crowder and husband, Jason, Mt. Vernon; step-son, Cody Paradee, Mt. Vernon; 11 grandchildren, Daleena and Chance Miller of Mt. Vernon, Haley Gregory and Tommy Gregory IV of Fairfield, Hunter, Cheyenne and Wyatt Gregory of Mt. Vernon, Tyler Bolyard of Salem, Tristan Branson of Salem, Destani and Journey Houle of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Marc Gregory and wife, Kelly of Clio, Mich.; two sisters, Joni Durham and husband, Jim of Mt. Vernon, Rhonda Topper and husband, Joe of Oakhurst, Ca.; three aunts, Sheryl Waddell of Mt. Vernon, Kathy Dains and husband, Tag of Mt. Vernon, Terri Lewis and husband, Sammy of Bloomington. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lucien and Alpha Woodall and Coy Reed.

He was a member of the U.S. Army. He started out at Fort Hood, TX. and later ended up in Alaska, where he was over warehouse supply and gave seminars on Military Supplies in Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to Odin Health Care Memorial Fountain Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon.
