George Wallace Green
George Wallace (Buster) Green, 55, died at 7:00 a.m. Monday at his
home in Chicago following an apparent heart attack. He was a
former resident of Waltonville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Fry
Funeral Home in Waltonville with the Rev. Floyd Hartley officiating.
Burial will be in Knob Prairie cemetery. The body will lie in state at
the funeral home where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Green was born Mar. 18, 1912, at Waltonville, the son of Harry and
Lucy (Crawford) Green. On Dec. 19, 1953, he was married in Chicago to
Willie Mae Brasfield, who survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Patricia Green, at home; his father
Harry Green, Sr., of Waltonville; five brothers, Harry Jr., Elvis, and Bob,
all of Waltonville, Marion and Charles, both of Chicago; and four sisters,
Mrs. Sona Barker of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Lela Lane of Chicago, Mrs. Nina Aguilar
of El Paso, Tex., and Mrs. Opal Seibert of Christopher.
His mother, two sisters, and a brother, preceded him in death.
Mr. Green served with the U.S. Army during World War Two.
