Evelyn Faye Goddard, 58, Mt. Vernon, died 5 a.m. July 05, 1996, at Crossroads Community Hospital.

She was born May 11, 1938, in Jefferson County, a daughter of Charles and Ferne (Steele) Piercy.

Graveside services were 11 a.m. toady at Boyd Cemetery with the Rev. Maurice Paxton officiating. Johnston Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon, was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs Goddard is survived by one son, Marty Goddard of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Darla Mills and husband Jerry of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Dwight Piercy and wife Wanda of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Jean Yearwood of Texico, Freda Lane and husband Verdon of Opdyke, and Velma England and husband William of Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren, Shaunna Leah and Robert Aaron; and two step grandsons, Jerry and Tommy.

Mrs Goddard was a member of New Hope Webb Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
