Alice L. Gilbert, 57, of 1011 S. 23rd St., died at 1:40 p.m. Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Miss Gilbert was born in Jefferson county on Sept. 29, 1916, the daughter of Robert H. and Mary C. (Lennington) Gilbert.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, and Rebekah Varnell No. 296.

She was a 29-year employe of the Mt. Vernon Garment Factory.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Everett Lemay officiating. Burial will be in Knob Prairie cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Miss Gilbert is survived by two brothers, Eugene Gilbert of Bonnie, and Leonard Gilbert, Mt. Vernon, and one sister, Mrs.Ruth Hart, Mt. Vernon.
