Roe Olin Gaddis

Roe Olin Gaddis, Of Woodlawn, Dies At Age 43

Roe Olin Gaddis, 43, of Woodlawn, died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Fry Funeral Home, in Waltonville with the Rev. Merrett Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Minson cemetery near Ashley. The body will lie in state at the Fry Funeral Home in Waltonville, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. today.

Mr. Gaddis was born January 3, 1925, in Ashley, the son of Fred and Vesta (Lemmon) Gaddis. Survivors include two uncles, Harry L. Gaddis and Homer Clyde Gaddis, both of Tulsa, Okla.; three aunts, Mrs. Joy Johnson and Mrs. Glada Johnson, both of Waltonville and Mrs. Velda Boswell of Opdyke, and several cousins.

He was a veteran of World War II and served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 9153 of Waltonville, Amvets Post No. 4 of Mt. Vernon and America Legion Post of Nashville.
