Lora Belle (Taylor) Fuller

Lora Belle Fuller, 90, of Mt. Vernon died 9:46 p.m. July 24, 2005, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Fuller was born Feb. 10, 1915, in Jefferson County to Thomas Otha Owens and Maggie M. Taylor.

She married Fred O. Fuller; he preceded her in death March 2, 1983.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Catherine Cemetery in Woodlawn, with interment to follow. The Rev. Everett Lemay will oficiate. It is requested that those wishing to attend the service please gather at the cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Fuller is survived by two daughters, Wanda Terhune and husband David of Mt. Vernon and Betty Casada and husband Wilbert of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Robert Earl Fuller and wife Joyce of Woodlawn and Donald Eugene Fuller of Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; five sisters; and a grandson, Donnie Fuller.

Mrs. Fuller was a lifelong member of East Salem Baptist Church and later attended Casey Avenue Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. She loved gardening, going to church and to the Sunshine Center.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home, where you may call 242-3348 for further information.
