Henry E. Foreman

Rites Monday for Pvt. Henry Foreman

The casketed remains of Pvt. Henry E. Foreman, who lost his life in the service of his country during World War II, will arrive in Mt. Vernon Saturday. December 18, for funeral services and reburial.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. William J. Arms officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The services will be in charge of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The body will remain at Myers chapel, where friends may call from the time of arrival until the funeral hour.

Pvt. Foreman was born May 31, 1915 in Waltonville, the son of W. E. and Joella (Carson) Foreman.

He was serving with Co. L. 319th Infantry, 80th Division of the 3rd Army when he was killed in France October 9, 1944.

He attended Waltonville high school and was engaged in farming near Waltonville prior to his induction into the service.

He is survived by his wife. Mary, of Mt. Vernon; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Foreman of Waltonville; and one brother, Carson, of Waltonville.
