Cora Gladys (Malone) Hulbert Ferguson

Cora Ferguson Mt. Vernon

Cora Gladys Ferguson, 79, of 1012 S. 24th St. died Sunday at her home.

She was a former employee of the Garment Factory.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Myers-Baril Chapel, with the Rev. Ron Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the Black Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Myers-Baril Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Ferguson was born Aug. 7, 1900, in Wayne County, the daughter of John and Charlotte (Anderson) Malone.

On Nov. 24, 1970, she was married to Howard Ferguson, who survives.

Other survivors include three step-daughters, Helen Irwin of Sterling, Wilma Grothoff of Bonnie and Geraldine Irwin of Bluford; two stepsons, Alvy Hulbert of Sterling and Burrell Hulbert of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Carrie Myers of Meade, Kan., and Agnes Dickey of Bethune, S.C.; and one brother, Merle Malone of Cisne.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Hulbert; and one step-son, Billy Hulbert.

Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the South West Christian Church.

Mrs. Ferguson Dies; Was Native

Cora Gladys Ferguson, 79, of Mt. Vernon, a native of Wayne County, died Sunday at her home in Mt. Vernon.

She was a sister of Merle Malone, of Cisne.

Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Myers-Baril Funeral Home, with burial in the Black Cemetery.

Born in 1900

Mrs. Ferguson was born in Wayne County Aug. 7, 1900, the daughter of John and Charlotte (Anderson) Malone.

On Nov. 24, 1970, she was married to Howard Ferguson, who survives.

She was a former employee of the garment factory in Mt. Vernon. She was a member of the South West Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Hulbert; and one step-son, Billy Hulbert.

The Survivors

Besides her husband, surviving are three step-daughters, Helen Irwin, of Sterling; Wilma Grothoff, of Bonnie: and Geraldine Irwin, of Bluford; two step-sons, Alvy Hulbert of Sterling; Burrell Hulbert, of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Carrie Myers, of Meade, Kan.; and Agnes Dickey, of Bethune, S.C.' and one brother, Merle Malone, of Cisne.
