Rosemary (Melton) Featherling

Rosemary Featherling, 63, of Walnut Hill died at 1 p.m. Nov. 4, 2005 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital’s Mt. Vernon campus.

She was employed at various Centralia businesses throughout her life. Those jobs most important to her included housewife, mother, grandmother, Raccoon School volunteer and special babysitter.

She was born Aug. 28, 1942 to Clifford and Imogene “Gregory” Melton in Walnut Hill.

She was married Feb. 23, 1963 to Richard Featherling. He survives in Walnut Hill.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2005 at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. Bruce Hough and Jim Watts will officiate. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Centralia.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Melissa Donoho and husband, Roger of Walnut Hill, Julie Benjamin and husband, Kenny of Walnut Hill; six special grandsons, Brian, Steven, Jeffrey and Curtis Donoho, Joshua, and Jordan Benjamin, all of Walnut Hill two nephews, Jeff Bowen and wife Jennifer of Texico, Kevin Bowen and wife Beth of Cisne; two great nephews, Ryan Clark and Caleb Bowen of Texico and one great niece, Madelyn Bowen of Cisne; special friends, Emogene Beal and Sharon McClelland, both of Centralia; sister Myra Bowen of Mt. Vernon as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and special aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Gregory Lee Featherling.

Memorials may be made to the Boyd Christian Church and received at the funeral home.
