Max Z. FARTHING, 55, St. Anne, died Friday noon in St. Anne. He was a former Bonnie resident, the son of Mrs. J. J. FARTHING and the late Mr. FARTHING.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Hauk Funeral Home in St. Anne and burial was in that city.

He was born May 2, 1910, in Jefferson County, the son of J. J. and Evalena (BEARD) FARTHING.

He is survived by his mother, Evelena FARTHING of Bonnie; his wife, Ila (PERRISH) FARTHING; 3 sons, Howard Dean, Max Edward, and Terry Lee, all of St. Anne; a brother, Wallace of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Thelma ADAMS of BONNIE; and 5 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.
