Carl Edward Farthing

Carl Edward FARTHING was born March 8, 1894, and died April 22, 1923, aged 29y1m14d.

He was united in marriage with Iva Elsie CAMPBELL, November 4, 1920.

Deceased left surviving him, his wife and daughter, Fretta Louise, aged 10 months, his father, Michael FARTHING, mother, Rosalee FARTHING, and one sister, Ada PIGG, and many other relatives and a host of friends to mourn his death.

He was an affectionate husband, father, son and brother. He was a Master Mason of Jefferson Lodge 368 of Opdyke, and a member of M.W.A. Camp 7139 of Ina.

Tuesday evening, April 24, he told his father that he had arranged all his business and other affairs and was ready to do all in his power in the effort to be restored to health, but expressed the belief he would never be able to stand the ordeal, but was willing to try whatever seemed for the best.. His great love for his little daughter was very strong, and he told his wife if he should die to tenderly care for her.


Note:
(Burials by Fred Justice gives date of death April 22, 1923 which is Sunday , so Tuesday evening would be April 19.)
