Mrs. Delpha Fairchild, 83, of Secor, died at 12:30 a.m. today at Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel, with burial in Knob Prairie Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral chapel after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Fairchild was born on July 13, 1889, in Elk Prairie Township, the daughter of Henry and Lina (Walker) Martin.

She married Roshier Oard in Mt. Vernon in 1918. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1928.

She married Harry Fairchild in 1938 in Morganfield, KY. He died April 25, 1968.

Survivors include two step-sons, John A. Fairchild, of East Peoria, and James E. Fairchild, of Secor; a daughter, Mrs. Leona Faye Bullock, of Decatur; a step-daughter, Mrs. Annabelle McGhee, of Secor; two brothers, Harl Martin, of Waltonville, and Nelson Martin, of Sesser; 19 grand hildren; and 14 great grandchildren
