EUBANK SERVICES SET
James Tyler “Ty” Eubank, 20, of Rt. 3, Mt. Vernon, died
at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 1976, in Firmin Desloge
Hospital in St. Louis, of injuries suffered in a softball
accident on Sunday, July 25, in Mt. Vernon. Mr. Eubank and
another player collided while trying to catch a “fly” ball.
He was born December 13, 1955, in Mt. Vernon to Carwin and
Lura Fern Morgan Eubank. He was a senior at Southern Illinois
University- Carbondale. He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church,
the Young Adult Class of the Church, Alpha Zeta Honorary Agricultural
Fraternity, and the Modern Woodsman of America.
Survivors are his parents of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Becky Willoughby
of Woodlawn; and two nieces, Tisha and Amanda of Woodlawn.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Woodlawn Baptist
Church. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday and until 11 a.m. Friday at
Hughey-Pulley Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon and after noon until time
of services Friday at the Church.
