Mrs. Sarah Ellen ENGLAND, wife of William Jerry England, died suddenly and unexpectedly at the family home, rural route 1, on the Richview road, last night at 11 o'clock.

Mrs, England was born in Jefferson County, Illinois on November 11, 1863, and her age at the time of death was 70 years, 5 months and 15 days.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Allen, members of old Jefferson county families.

Mrs. England was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a christian woman. She took much interest in the church. She was held in the highest respect by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 29, in Old Shiloh Church at 2 p.m. and burial will follow in the cemetary adjoining. The body will remain at Myers chapel until the funeral hour.

Mrs. England is survived by her husband, William J. England, and two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Etta Ethel) Gutherie, Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Jesse (Jenny) Wright, St. Louis, and by three brothers. John A. Allen, Anderson Allen and W. S. Allen, Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. England was stricken so suddenly it was impossible to secure a physician, and in inquest was held by Coroner J.D. Dodds this morning. The jury rendered a verdict of death due to natural cause, unknown to the jury. More to follow.
